Summer Slam '87 Rebooked

  1. The Islanders def. The British Bulldogs via countout when Bobby Heenan kidnapped Matilda.  The Bulldogs left the ring to chase after Heenan.

  2. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat def. Dino Bravo with a small package when Bravo was distracted by Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake

  3. "Superstar" Billy Graham def. "The Natural" Butch Reed via DQ when the One Man Gang interfered.  Both men attacked Graham when Don Muraco made the save and cleared Reed & Gang from the ring.

  4. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake def. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine when Beefcake raised his shoulder after a back-suplex by Valentine.  Valentine's shoulders remained on the mat.

  5. Strikeforce def. The Hart Foundation (c) (for the World Tag Team Championship) when Martel made Neidhart submit with the Boston crab.

  6. King Kong Bundy def. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff when Rick Rude distracted Orndorff allowing Bundy to hit him with the avalanche from behind.

  7. "Macho Man" Randy Savage def. The Honky Tonk Man (c) via DQ when Jimmy Hart entered the ring and attempted to hit Randy Savage with the megaphone.  Savage blocked the attempt and cleared Hart from the ring. (for the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship).

  8. Demolition def. The Killer Bees via reverse-decision DQ when the referee forced Jim Brunzell to take off his mask to reveal that he was the illegal man during the Bees' pinfall win.  Before the Bees put on their masks, Brian Blair was the legal man.

  9. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan def. Nikolai Volkoff in a flag match when the Iron Shiek accidentally hit Volkoff with Slick's cane.

  10. Hulk Hogan (c) def. The One Man Gang (for the World Heavyweight Championship) with the atomic legdrop.

 

AFTERMATH:

  1. Matilda was nowhere to be found after the match and a feud ensued between the Islanders and Bulldogs.

  2. Don Muraco became face and started a feud with Butch Reed.

  3. Due to Rude's interference, a feud ensued between Paul Orndorff and Rick Rude.

  4. Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Shiek had a disagreement over the outcome of the match with Jim Duggan.  Volkoff aligned with Boris Zhukov to create the new Bolsheviks tag team.
